At Van Avery Prep, our teachers are passionate and dedicated professionals who bring our well-rounded standards-based curriculum to life with creativity and sensitivity. They tailor lessons to ensure that instruction is both stimulating and challenging, catering to the unique learning style of each student. Our curriculum is built on rich, challenging content that engages students and instills a lifelong love of learning. We understand that students need more than academic knowledge to thrive, which is why we integrate field trips to help students make real-world connections with the lessons they learn in the classroom.
What Makes Us Unique
- We utilize the House System, with students from each House engaging in fun games and friendly contests. Our House System motivates students to love coming to school, cultivates teamwork, and helps our students feel proud of their hard work.
- Our athletic program is an integral part of student life, and we offer a number of sports including flag football, volleyball, cross country running, basketball, track & field, soccer, and cheerleading.
- Arts are also an essential part of our mission of developing scholars, artists, and athletes of character. Students engage with different artistic media, and teachers help make this come to life through museum field trips. Performing arts are also encouraged, with every class given the opportunity to act, sing, and support one another.
