About Merryhill School
Merryhill School was founded in 1949 in downtown Sacramento, California with a vision to create not just a school, but a caring and nurturing place where each child feels safe, loved, and encouraged to grow. At the time, the school served just five preschool-aged children.
Today, Merryhill School has 29 campuses across California, Nevada, Colorado, and Texas. As part of Spring Education Group, Merryhill is able to maintain the community-focused approach families and staff value, with the added benefit of the shared resources and best practices of a larger organization.
We are continuing to grow and innovate and provide amazing opportunities for teachers and staff to grow with us!

Celyna Mughoney, Principal Merryhill Midtown Preschool
I have been working for Merryhill since 2014. I had always worked in a preschool setting and was looking for a place to call home that aligned with my teaching style and truly embodied education in young children.
I started with Merryhill as a Toddler Teacher. After teaching various preschool ages for several years, in June of 2022 I began my Office Assistant position and did that for about 10 months and got offered a position as Principal at the preschool in Davis, CA. After that, I became Assistant Principal at Calvine preschool back in Elk Grove due to being closer to my children and closer to home. Now I am the Principal at Merryhill Midtown Preschool!
