Spring Education Group is a multi-brand education network of superior private school institutions spanning infant care through high school. Summer Camp Counselors are responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and structured summer experience for students. Counselors supervise and lead a designated grade level, follow the daily camp schedule, and actively participate in on-campus activities and off-site field trips. Safety, positive behavior management, and student engagement are top priorities.
Work Schedule
• Camp Dates: June 15th- August 28th
• Regular hours vary between 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Field trip days (Fridays): hours may range from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, depending on the destination and transportation schedule
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and lead a specific grade level group throughout the camp day
• Follow and implement the provided daily camp schedule
• Lead age appropriate activities
• Maintain strong classroom and group management
• Create a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment for students
• Actively engage with students during all activities, transitions, and free play
• Ensure student safety at all times, both on campus and during off-site activities
• Supervise students during Friday field trips, including transportation and off-site locations
• Enforce camp rules and expectations consistently and fairly
• Provide support to camp operations as needed, including assisting with staff breaks, covering groups temporarily, or offering additional supervision
• Assist with activity preparation, setup, and cleanup as directed by camp leadership
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting preferred
• Strong classroom and behavior management skills
• Energetic, engaging, and dependable
• Ability to follow schedules and directions while remaining flexible
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize student safety and well-being at all times
Physical & Other Requirements
• Ability to remain active for extended periods
• Ability to supervise students indoors, outdoors, and on field trips
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations
• Willingness to adapt to changing schedules and responsibilities
• Ability to step into different roles as needed throughout the day
• Commitment to student safety as the top priority
