About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our community. As a Substitute Teacher at Evergreen Academy, you will have the opportunity to work with students from various classrooms, ensuring continuity in education during teacher absences. This role offers the flexibility to engage with different grade levels and subjects while implementing pre-planned lessons, maintaining classroom management, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
You will also:
• Promote positive social and emotional development in students.
• Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom duties in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Build relationships with students and other staff members to contribute to a vibrant school community.
• Ensure a well-organized and engaging classroom atmosphere that supports student learning.
What We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required).
• Prior teaching experience or experience working with students is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass both state and federal background checks.
• A passion for working with children and the flexibility to adapt to different teaching environments.
