About the Role
As a Soccer Coach at The Honor Roll School, you will lead practices and prepare student-athletes for competitive matches while cultivating soccer skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence. You will create a positive and inclusive environment that supports players at varying skill levels and encourages every student to grow both on and off the field.
This is a part-time, seasonal position running from August through December.

• Plan and lead organized, developmentally appropriate soccer practices
• Prepare student-athletes and teams for competitive matches
• Teach fundamental and advanced soccer skills, game strategies, safety practices, and rules
• Promote teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, resilience, and respect
• Motivate and mentor students across a range of experience and ability levels
• Coordinate practice schedules, uniforms, equipment, and other team logistics
• Maintain and properly store athletic equipment and supplies
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities
• Travel with the team to away games and events as required
• Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and school leaders
• Collaborate with school staff to support a cohesive and successful athletics program

What We’re Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous experience coaching soccer from the beginner through advanced levels
• Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, competitive strategies, safety practices, and game-day rules
• Ability to motivate, mentor, and build positive relationships with student-athletes
• Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage practices, matches, equipment, schedules, and team logistics effectively
• Availability to work the required practice and game schedule from August through December, including travel to away events as needed
• Ability to successfully complete state and federal background checks
• Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, supportive, and engaging experience for every student-athlete
