About the Role
Preschool Substitute Teachers have the fun opportunity to enjoy working with a wide variety of students and implementing an array of teaching methods and techniques. Your ability to connect with young learners and execute lesson plans will help ensure the classroom runs smoothly on any day as necessary. This is an on-call position as needed.

You will also…
• Step into the classroom when a teacher is absent, maintaining the established daily routines, supporting planned learning activities, and providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children feel supported and cared for.
• Communicate daily with parents and guardians while collaborating closely with co-teachers and school staff
• Assist children during meals, snacks, rest periods, and routine personal care (including toileting and diaper changing as needed)
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations and licensing guidelines
• Perform other related classroom duties and school support tasks as assigned

• Pay range: $23-27 an hour
• Position located at 57 Cronin Drive, Santa Clara, CA
• This is an on-call position

What We Are Looking For
• A Bachelor’s degree in Child Development or a related field from an accredited college or university or 12-semester or 18-quarter early childhood units, including courses that cover the general areas of child growth and development, is required
• Prior classroom experience in a preschool classroom setting is preferred
• Flexibility and creativity
