You will play a vital role in cultivating students’ appreciation for music and helping them develop foundational skills in both instrumental and vocal performance.<br><br>Wage Range: $26.00-$43.00<br>Status: Part Time Flexible Schedule<br>Location: San Jose, CA<br>Opportunities for Advancement within our growing network of schools<br>Supportive Work Culture grounded in collaboration, growth, and excellence<br>Beautiful Private School Campus in the heart of Silicon Valley<br><br>Responsibilities:<br> • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate music lessons across grade levels<br> • Incorporate the piano as the primary instrument of instruction, while integrating a variety of other instruments<br> • Teach music reading skills, transposition techniques, and basic music composition<br> • Instruct students in basic vocal techniques, including diaphragmatic breathing, pitch, diction, harmony, and scale work<br> • Foster a positive classroom environment<br> • Collaborate with faculty to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities<br> • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and growth<br> • Maintain a vibrant, organized classroom conducive to active participation<br><br>Qualifications:<br> • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field from an accredited college or university<br> • Proficiency in piano, with the ability to teach and accompany students<br> • Strong music sight-reading and transposition skills<br> • Experience composing original music is a plus<br> • Ability to teach fundamental vocal techniques and group singing<br> • Prior experience teaching or working with children in an educational setting is preferred<br> • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues<br><br><br>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
