Each year Stratford has continued to support more students and families, to enhance its academic programs, and to explore new opportunities that will allow the Stratford community to continue to grow and thrive. Growth plans include bringing Stratford’s vision of academic excellence to more communities in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and beyond. We are committed to offering a challenging curriculum where tradition meets 21st century learning that is focused on core subjects, creating a safe and nurturing school atmosphere and motivating students through high expectations in a collaborative and fun learning environment. Our steadfast commitment to this vision continues to guide us in our growth each year.
Our purpose statement speaks for all of us – “Stratford School – Connecting students to their unique futures.”
Our motto "Summa Spes, Summa Res (Highest Hopes, Highest Things)" embraces our spirit of uplifting education. Most importantly we are a family of learners at Stratford School. Our culture is one of connection, care, and openness, where we encourage the free exchange of ideas among faculty, staff, students, and parent partners.

Sherry Adams is the entrepreneur and visionary behind Stratford School, which she co-founded in 1999. Alongside her colleagues, she has grown Stratford School from one school in the back of a church to now over 30 campuses, educating over 9600 students across California. This now includes her dream of opening the first Stratford High School in San Jose, with the second high school opening in Milpitas in 2025. In addition to Stratford, Sherry Adams is a founding board member and Vice Chair of Spring Education Group (SEG), the largest provider of private school networks, educating over 40,000 preschool through high school students nationwide. Sherry attributes the success of the schools to our talented and dedicated teachers and school leaders.
