About the Role:
As a Part-Time STEAM Teacher at Merryhill School, you will bring energy and innovation into the classroom by leading students through engaging hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. You will play a vital role in preparing students to explore, experiment, and engineer creative solutions, nurturing critical thinking and real-world problem-solving from an early age.
This role typically requires ~4 hours per day, totaling 20 hours per week.

You will also:
• Design and deliver inquiry-based STEAM lessons that align with grade-level standards and foster exploration
• Incorporate project-based learning, makerspace tools, and technology to deepen student understanding
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and collaboration
• Communicate with families to share student progress and celebrate achievements
• Collaborate with fellow educators to support interdisciplinary instruction and school-wide STEAM initiatives

What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in elementary education or a STEAM-related field from an accredited college or university
• Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check
• Passion for STEAM education and a commitment to inquiry-based teaching
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage young learners in complex thinking
