Merryhill School is seeking an on-call bus driver. This flexible position supports school operations by ensuring safe and reliable transportation for students and staff. What You’ll Do
• Transport students, staff, and parents to and from school and school events.
• Perform safety checks on vehicles before and after trips.
• Maintain discipline and safety during transport.
• Complete student attendance logs and follow transportation procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents as required.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Credentials:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements (as required by state).
• Clean driving record.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
Skills & Qualities:
• Strong communication and attention to detail
• Reliable, organized, and safety-focused.
• Ability to work independently and calmly manage unexpected situations.
• Comfortable working with students of all ages.
Physical Requirements
• Frequent walking, standing, sitting, and speaking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Operation of vehicles and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to read and communicate clearly in English.
