About the Role
As an Instructional Aide at Merryhill School, you will support classroom learning, student engagement, and the overall instructional environment. Working under the direction of a teacher or school leader, you will provide academic assistance, supervise students, and help maintain a structured, positive classroom setting that supports every child’s growth.
You will also:
• Assist with classroom instruction and daily learning activities
• Support the facilitation of routines and age-appropriate learning experiences
• Help maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for students
• Monitor and supervise students to ensure safety and positive behavior
• Organize and maintain classroom materials, including cleaning and tidying learning areas
• Participate in staff meetings, school events, and training sessions as needed
What We’re Looking For
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred
• Maturity, emotional stability, and a calm, supportive presence
• Stamina to engage positively with students throughout the school day
• Patient, flexible, dependable, and collaborative attitude
• Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Ability to accept supervision and implement feedback constructively
• Recent teaching or classroom support experience is a plus
