About the Role
As an Elementary School Teacher at Merryhill School, you will help students strengthen foundational skills in math, science, reading, and the social sciences. Our elementary program emphasizes curiosity, critical thinking, and joyful learning, encouraging students to ask questions, explore new ideas, and grow academically and socially. We seek confident, caring educators who set high expectations and create a vibrant, engaging classroom environment.
You will also:
• Promote positive social and emotional development in students
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress
• Maintain a well-organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks
• Strong communication, instructional, and classroom management skills
• Genuine passion for teaching and supporting student growth
