About the Role:
As an Elementary Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in our students' foundational education. The ideal candidate will create engaging, hands-on lessons that spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of science. This teacher will guide students through exploration, experimentation, and discovery while fostering critical thinking and collaboration. Working closely with grade-level teams, the teacher will help connect science to real-world learning and support Heritage Oak’s tradition of academic excellence and student growth.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science lessons aligned with school curriculum and standards.
• Incorporate hands-on experiments, labs, and projects to encourage curiosity and active learning.
• Integrate technology and visual aids to enhance scientific understanding.
• Foster an environment of curiosity, enthusiasm, and respect for learning.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about students' progress.
• Create and maintain a well-organized, vibrant classroom environment that encourages active learning and participation.
What We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Science Education, or a related field or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of elementary teaching experience; science teaching experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to pass both state and federal background checks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage students, colleagues, and parents.
