About the Role:
Substitute teachers at The Honor Roll School have the opportunity to enjoy working with a wide variety of students and implementing an array of teaching methods and techniques. Your broad knowledge of subject matter and executing lesson plans will help ensure the classroom runs smoothly on any day as necessary. This position requires individuals to be flexible with hours and age levels.
Responsibilities:
• Promote positive development of social and emotional competencies in students
• Cover classroom duties as needed
• Develop relationships with other school staff
• Maintain a well-organized and engaging classroom environment
• Create and deliver lesson plans
• Execute effective classroom management strategies
• Participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote rigorous learning opportunities and the general well-being of the school
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience is preferred
• Must be flexible to work with all age levels from 2 years old through 8th grade
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass both state and federal background checks
