About the Role
Paragon Prep is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Bus Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for students to and from school, field trips, athletic events, and other school-related activities. The ideal candidate is responsible, patient, and committed to maintaining a positive and safe environment for students while ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and school policies.
This role is an important part of the student experience, helping ensure students are transported safely, schedules run smoothly, and families and school teams can rely on consistent, professional transportation support.
You will also:
• Safely transport students to and from field trips, sporting events, and other school-related activities.
• Ensure students’ safety and maintain appropriate behavior on the bus.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the school bus to ensure safety standards are met.
• Adhere to scheduled routes and follow all traffic regulations.
• Collaborate with school staff to coordinate schedules for trips and events.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure smooth transportation operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned related to student transportation.
• Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and respectful environment for students.
What We’re Looking For
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements required.
• Previous experience driving a school bus is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to pass both state and federal background checks.
• Ability to manage and interact positively with a wide range of students from K–8.
• Availability for trips during the school day, with some events, such as field trips, requiring evening hours.
