About the Role

As the Assistant Director you will coordinate all school operations, including financial planning, community outreach, relationship-building, staffing and teacher development. This position is an amazing opportunity to dive deep into the administrative side of the school campus while also developing a strong community and guiding teacher development as we seek to continuously improve our educational methods.

Most importantly, our schools embrace a culture of care—physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, both in and out of the classroom. This position will play a critical role in guiding this culture to ensure a community where children are at the center of everything we do, and creating an optimal learning environment that is safe, welcoming, and well-organized.

This position is for our Palo Alto campus.

What We Are Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Child Development or similar field required
• 12 completed ECE semester units (or 18 quarter units) preferred
• Minimum one year of experience in a school leadership position (Principal, Assistant Principal, Team Leader, or similar)
• One year of previous teaching experience
• Knowledge of state education and licensing standards and maintains validation of credentials for the position
• Broad knowledge of instructional programs, extracurricular activities, and methods to ensure a safe and orderly school environment
• Previous responsibility for school operations, including building maintenance, program evaluation, employee engagement and management, office operations, and emergency procedures is strongly preferred
