We are hiring an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Manager for our IK12 Division. As the principal early childhood literacy expert on the IK12 Education Team, you will create and execute professional development and training for teachers and leaders, both online and in-person. Your expertise in early literacy instruction and phonics-based practices, along with strong communication and relationship-building skills, will be a crucial part of facilitating and building a cohort of academic Pre-K mentor teachers and guiding implementation of our Academic Pre-K programmatic shift.

The IK12 schools are in 9 states: California, Nevada, Texas, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Florida, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Guide and coordinate teams of campus-level ECE professionals, including leader-mentors and instructional mentor teachers

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal early-childhood literacy expert on the IK12 Education Team and collaborate with other SEG education professionals.
  • Identify, update, and promote phonics-based literacy resources aligned with the Links to Learning curriculum.
  • Review, develop, pilot, and continuously improve literacy resources based on instructional needs and emerging best practices.
  • Create and deliver onboarding and ongoing professional development for teachers and school leaders, both virtually and in-person
  • Support the 2026 - 27 implementation of Academic Pre-K in approximately 15 classrooms, expanding Links to Learning with direct instruction in phonics-based reading and foundational mathematics.
  • Facilitate a cohort of Academic Pre-K mentor teachers and guide campus-based ECE leader-mentors and instructional mentor teachers.

Skills, Knowledge, and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required; a degree in Early Childhood Education, Literacy, Reading, or a related field is strongly preferred
  • Expertise in early literacy instruction, including phonics-based and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Kindergarten teaching or instructional leadership experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience designing and delivering professional learning for adult educators, virtually and in-person
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills across multiple schools and regions, with the independence to thrive remotely
  • Ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects and use data to inform resources and training
  • Availability to travel regularly to schools and the SEG Home Office in California as needed
  • Experience with curriculum frameworks or instructional resource development is highly desirable
