Chesterbrook Academy is seeking a passionate Mandarin Teacher to join our team. You will have the unique opportunity to introduce students to the Mandarin language and Chinese culture through dynamic, age-appropriate lessons. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to creating a nurturing environment where students can thrive in learning a new language and cultural perspective.
You will lay the foundation for language acquisition, support cultural appreciation, and inspire a love of learning—all while working collaboratively with fellow educators to support holistic student development.
You will also…
• Develop and deliver engaging Mandarin lessons for early childhood and elementary students that support language acquisition and cultural understanding
• Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity, communication, and confidence
• Adapt lessons to meet varying developmental levels and learning needs
• Integrate Mandarin instruction with interdisciplinary learning themes across the curriculum
• Collaborate with school teams and administrators to enhance the student experience
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom activities

What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in education, language instruction, or a related field
• Proficiency in Mandarin and experience with effective language teaching methodologies
• Experience working with young children, preferably in a school setting
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check
• A passion for language education and inspiring cultural curiosity in students
