What We're Looking For
BASIS Independent McLean is seeking an Academic Programs Coordinator to support our culture of academic excellence and to ensure the success of our students. This position is all about systems and organization and requires great attention to detail due to the complex elements of our dynamic instructional program. With so many moving parts, we need someone who can simultaneously see the big picture and also arrive at the smallest details quickly. Through elevated expectations and a willingness to ensure that all teachers, staff, and students have the support they need to be successful, our Academic Programs Coordinator will take a meticulous approach to managing student records in order to enhance the educational experience.
Your Primary Responsibilities
• Support student enrollment management, attendance records, course registration, and scheduling.
• Coordinate BASIS Independent Schools curriculum and assessment processes.
• Support the administration of external assessments.
• Maintain accurate student records and student information systems, including database management and reconciliations.
• Generate reports, data uploads, and other required documentation in a timely manner, to support school operations and decision-making.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to support academic operations and student services.
• Supervise students as assigned during the school day and at school events.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the school's academic and operational needs.
Position Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred with appropriate clearances.
• 1-3 of experience in an administrative setting, or a related educational environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service while maintaining adherence to policies and procedures when dealing with various constituents
