Community Outreach

We aim to instill generosity, kindness and compassion in every one of our students. Service learning takes place year-round at our schools. We integrate community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience and teach civic responsibility. Students engage in ongoing reflection before, during and after the service learning project. They are challenged to consider various viewpoints and value diverse backgrounds.

Through these initiatives, students show empathy and gratitude towards others, learn the importance of giving back, see the positive impact of their actions, and gain confidence and self-esteem. When our students graduate, they have an understanding that they are capable to change the world in a positive way.

Spring Education Group schools raise over $370,000 annually for organizations including the American Heart Association, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and many more.

In addition to monetary donations, some of the ways our students make a difference in their local communities include:

  • Collecting winter coats, hats, and gloves for homeless shelters
  • Hosting gift drives during the holidays for children's hospitals
  • Making cards for residents in local senior centers
  • Donating canned goods to food banks
  • Collecting diapers, wipes, and personal care items to women's centers
  • Hosting clean-up events at local parks
  • Collecting books for Little Free Libraries
  • Donating food, blankets and toys for animal shelters
