Spring Education Group is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Service Technician to support multiple preschool locations within Columbus, Ohio and the surrounding areas. This role is responsible for ensuring our schools are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently by paying detailed attention to the cleanliness and functional operability of the physical school building.
The ideal candidate has experience in general maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple sites. They are resourceful in solving problems, proactive in addressing potential issues, and address facility needs with minimal direction. In this hands-on, independent role, no two days are the same, and your work directly impacts children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and facility projects
• Respond to urgent requests and conduct routine inspections
• Partner with vendors on specialized repairs and oversee contracted work
• Support school upgrades, playgrounds, and classroom refreshes
• Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent (trade school certifications preferred)
• 2+ years maintenance/facilities experience (multi-site or education preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in varied environments
• Able to pass background checks and meet preschool requirements
