About the Role
Spring Education Group is seeking an HR Shared Services Manager to lead the centralized team responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle administration across a multi-state workforce of more than 7,000 employees. This role ensures data integrity, regulatory compliance, and a high standard of service delivery across our network of private schools.
As the functional leader of HR Shared Services, you will oversee all employee data processing within Dayforce, including hiring, onboarding, and employee status changes. You will also lead Tier 1 HR support for school administrators and staff, ensuring timely, accurate guidance on HR, payroll, and benefits-related inquiries. Success in this role requires strong leadership, deep multi-state HR knowledge, and experience operating in a high-volume, service-oriented environment.
**This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office and two days remote**
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Service Delivery
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Coordinators, fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture focused on accuracy and responsiveness
• Oversee the HR Help Desk/Service Center, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
• Evaluate and improve HR service delivery processes to reduce turnaround times and enhance the employee onboarding experience
HR Systems & Data Management (Dayforce)
• Serve as the functional lead for Dayforce, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee data, including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations
• Maintain data integrity through regular audits and adherence to internal controls and compliance standards
• Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports to provide insights into turnover, hiring trends, and service center performance
Compliance & Multi-State Operations
• Ensure all HR administrative processes comply with federal and state regulations, with a strong focus on California labor law (wage and hour, meal and rest breaks, and required notices)
• Oversee onboarding processes, including background checks and credentialing, ensuring compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Standardize HR processes across multiple school brands and locations while accounting for local market and regulatory differences
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
• 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership role within an HR Shared Services or Service Center environment
• Extensive hands-on experience with Dayforce or a comparable HRIS platform
• Proven experience supporting a multi-state, multi-location workforce (7,000+ employees preferred)
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including California labor law
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and data analysis)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in education, or in high-volume, multi-location environments such as retail or hospitality
• Experience building or scaling HR service center operations
