Position Location: Irvine, CA
Position: Montessori Teacher

Job Duties:
1. Plan, structure, and order Montessori lessons according to the individual needs
2. Facilitate childrens cognitive development by requiring them to employ critical thought
processes in order to solve abstract problems
3. Teach lessons according to the specific Montessori method for each lesson, and using
specially designed Montessori materials
4. Design and create additional Montessori materials for use in the classroom
5. Maintain order and classroom discipline for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old
6. Create lesson plan to support each childs social, emotional and academic needs
7. Supervise and train assistant teachers
8. Conduct parent information events and parent conferences for each child write progress
reports for each child.

Salary: Available upon request
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

Education Requirements: None

(AMI)”
Experience Requirements: 2 years experience in in job offered, Montessori Primary Teacher,
or Head Teacher Cum Coordinator, or closely related
Special skills requirements:
1. Experience teaching kindergarten students using the Montessori methods including; teach
developmentally appropriate skills and academic content in the areas of practical life,
sensorial,
mathematics, language (reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary), science, geography and
cultural studies.
2. Experience with the education and development of slum children and enrolling them into
mainstream education
3. Experience being responsible for the learning of 30 students at different learning levels, using
differentiated instructions and innovative methods to ensure high level of learning.
4. Experience planning special events and field trips, and interacting with the parents of the
students
5. Experience managing the center team that included helpers and volunteers and various other
activities in order to maximizing learning for the kids
6. Experience conducting workshops in reader’s theatre, creative writing and story telling
7. Experience conducting workshop on Creative Dramatics as well as Storytelling and Puppetry
Workshop
