What We're Looking For:
The Systems Support Specialist oversees academic systems and curriculum-related records/documentation for BASIS Curriculum Schools. Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum, this network-level position will provide user support for educational software and assessment databases, as well as assist with gathering and initial analysis of academic data. The Systems Support Specialist provides essential support to teachers, administrators, and the Curriculum Team in adhering to the BASIS Curriculum. This position is a full-time, remote position.
Your Primary Responsibilities
- Provide user support for educational systems/software, e.g. Schoology
- Seasonal data entry for documenting use, results and actions
- System administrative functions: maintaining user permissions, maintaining item banks for assessment, creating reports from available data for department and school stakeholders
- Administrative functions related to Department communications: archiving all Subject Advisor (SAD) monthly newsletters, tracking SAD events and communication for compliance
- Maintaining data and resources in Curriculum resource libraries
- Creating and maintaining departmental calendar (all school dates, testing windows, and other important dates) for organization and compliance
- Gathering data for Curriculum Team’s use from our various systems for improving services to schools
- Other systems or data projects as needed, e.g. supporting the creation of Pre-Comprehensive and Comprehensive Exams, assisting with preparations for Summer Institute
- Skilled at recognizing patterns from data; using data to inform recommendations
- Ability to organize and communicate information to others for maximum efficiency
- Flexible and self-motivated in fast-paced environments
- Ability to collaborate on teams with diverse projects
- Commitment to the BASIS Curriculum, culture, and educational model
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required
- Experience with Microsoft Office is required
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of navigating diverse applications
- Experience with education and/or school-based systems preferred
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card and or applicable state background check
- Experience in education (teaching or support staff) is preferred
