Our preschool and elementary kids are the best! Their curiosity, questioning, and zest for life inspire us every day.  Our Music Teachers come to Stratford from countless backgrounds, sharing their unique talents and experiences. As a Music teacher you’ll help our students on the journey of discovering the arts.

This is a part-time position working Monday - Friday 8:45 am - 11:45 am supporting our preschool to kindergarten classrooms.

A little about you

You are a fun and energetic person who is passionate about all kinds of music. By showing your students your enthusiasm for all musical styles you enjoy motivating them to do some exploration themselves and find out what they like. You like being creative with your talents. You are patient, kind, and understanding, and take the time to develop personal connections with your students. Above all, you enjoy what you do and instill that zest in your students. At Stratford School we are committed to helping you to be the best teacher you can be.

A typical day

Stratford students are eager and capable learners. As a Music Teacher, your time with students is an exciting, fun place, filled with live interactions and collaboration with our classroom teaching professionals. High energy and variety is the name of the game. Our Music Teachers spend time with each of our classrooms daily. Teaching music appreciation, song and preparing for classroom performances.


Being a strong communicator and having an abundance of patience is the key to success for our teachers.

Engaging, creative, and full of sparkle are a few words that describe our
music professionals.

Able to organize a large number of children in order to teach harmonies, songs, and programs.

Must be able to sight-read.
