Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional looking to lead a dynamic team in the education sector? We are seeking an AR/Billing Manager to oversee accounts receivable operations across our BASIS and Stratford lines of business. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and service-driven leader who thrives in a collaborative environment. This position is a hybrid role, based out of our West Chester, PA corporate office.
What You'll Do:- Lead AR Operations: Manage and oversee the accounts receivable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of tuition sales orders, revenue recognition schedules, and reconciliations.
- Customer Service Excellence: Foster a high level of customer service, addressing inquiries from both internal teams and families regarding billing and payments.
- Optimize Collections: Monitor aging reports and collection efforts, ensuring proper handling of bad debts and refunds.
- Process Improvements: Identify areas for process improvement within the AR function to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure strong internal controls and accurate documentation, collaborating with external auditors during financial audits.
- Team Development: Provide growth and development opportunities for AR staff, including performance evaluations and cross-training.
Who You Are:- Experienced Leader: You have a degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of five years in an accounts receivable or collections role. Previous supervisory experience is a must.
- GAAP Knowledgeable: Familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experienced in managing financial data through systems like Intacct and NetSuite.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with reporting tools for data analysis.
- Detail-Oriented: Known for your meticulous approach to managing tasks, deadlines, and customer inquiries.
- Collaborative: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and prioritize resources where needed.
- Ethical and Confidential: You understand the importance of confidentiality and maintain the integrity of sensitive information.
