The Financial Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the success of BASIS Independent schools by coordinating information between BASIS schools and the central accounting team, while providing additional support as needed. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for success in this position, along with fostering a positive and respectful work environment through effective communication with colleagues. Building strong working relationships with central office staff and school leaders is also key to this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and distribute delinquency reports to each campus and central leadership; work with schools to reconcile and correct discrepancies.
- Participate in the annual re-enrollment process.
- Identify trends and process breakdowns that present opportunities for enhancing internal controls and improving processes.
- Monitor the Central Operations email inbox, coordinating responses with other team members as needed.
- Learn and utilize various computer-based systems to complete job tasks.
- Adapt effectively to changes in workload and assignments; prioritize tasks and adjust to meet daily demands and resolve inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills & Experience:Education & Credentials:- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in Accounting or a business-related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of related work experience.
- Proficiency in Windows environments, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, reporting tools, and web-based applications.
- Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
