We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to serve as Before & After carel counselors for our upcoming school year. As a B&A counselor, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging a group of children aged 4-12 in various activities and programs.
You will work alongside other counselors and staff to ensure that all attending children have a safe, fun, and educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and engage children in a variety of activities and programs.
• Implement and lead age-appropriate activities, including but not limited to games, sports, and arts and crafts.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
• Create a positive and inclusive environment for all campers.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and games.
• Provide guidance and support to campers to ensure they have a positive experience.
• Communicate with parents and guardians as needed.
• Assist with camp set-up and take-down as needed.
• Attend all training and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have experience working with children.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be enthusiastic, responsible, and reliable.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a child abuse clearance check.
• Must be available to work flexible hours
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with children in a camp or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing situations
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred, but not required)
• Must be able to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time.
Schedule: 1:00PM to 6:00PM
