We are currently seeking an experienced teacher to teach our Springboard to HS Summer School program (see course description below). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality learning experience for our students in a condensed and accelerated summer format.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons and activities using the school's established curriculum.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and families regularly.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity in student learning and progress throughout the summer program.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and academic achievement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and academic achievement
This position will be part-time and run for the duration of our Summer School program, which is two four weeks sessions (June 12-July 7 and July 10-August 4) from 9:00-12:00. The ideal candidate will be available for both program sessions and can commit to the full teaching schedule.

Springboard to High School
Incoming Grade 7 and 8 students spend part of each morning on life skills development (e.g., social-emotional learning, cyber wellness, active learning, and time management) that will prepare them socially and emotionally so they will be ready for High School. They spend the bulk of their morning on refining and enriching their language arts and math academic skills. Students will hone their language arts skills through vocabulary, novel study, grammar practice, and paragraph/essay composition. Advanced Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1 concepts will be covered with various word problems, properties, and written expressions. Program level will be determined based on previous student experience. Springboard to High School focuses on educating the head as well as the heart.
