Spring Education Group is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join our team. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for all aspects of payroll processing, payroll audit, and the application of best practice payroll processes. You should have experience using Ceridian Dayforce (or similar HRIS), researching and resolving issues, and auditing payroll data. This individual should also be experienced in high volume, multi-state and multi-unit payroll with knowledge of payroll compliance across all states in which employees reside. You will be responsible for researching and responding to payroll inquiries from employees, managers, and other team members in addition to other duties as assigned. Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities necessary to process accurate and timely payroll for 7000+ employees across multiple states using Ceridian Dayforce
  • Process off cycle payments and manual payments as needed
  • Calculate, enter, and review retroactive pay changes
  • Review and enter garnishments into HRIS
  • Research and respond to payroll related inquiries from employees, school leaders, and other internal/external parties.
  • Answer employee questions relating to company policies and procedures or direct them to the correct department
  • Provide responses in a courteous and timely manner
  • Proactively maintain and enhance HRIS knowledge
  • Coordinate with school operations in a multi-unit environment and Human Resources to ensure timely, efficient resolution of issues
  • Administer trainings on payroll policies and usage of payroll related systems
  • Support the Payroll Manager with other projects and tasks as required.

The Essentials:
  • 1-3 years of Payroll processing experience
  • BS in Business related degree preferred
  • Multi-unit/multi-state payroll experience, including California
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and written communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong appreciation for procedure, process, and operational excellence
  • Proficient in Payroll/HRIS/Timekeeping system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
